Homemade Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups solid-pack pumpkin
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1 2/3 cups evaporated milk
  • 2-3 cups whipped cream or Cool Whip for topping.

Instructions

  • Heat over to 425 degrees.
  • In a bowl, beat the eggs using a hand mixer. Beat in remaining ingredients until smooth.
  • Pour into the unbacked pie shell.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, then without opening the oven, reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees. Bake for an additional 40-45 minutes or until the center is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.
  • Serve with whipped cream.
